Christine Trujillo, who served District 25 for five terms in the New Mexico House of Representatives, has announced that she will resign from her seat on July 1. In this year's Legislative session, Trujillo worked with a group of high school students for the passage of a bill making menstrual hygiene products available for free in public schools. She also co-sponsored a bill to expand school-based health centers in New Mexico. Trujillo (D-Albuquerque) was known as a leader in women's issues, education and health care.
